About the Role

We are looking for a curious and analytical ESG Analyst Intern who is interested in sustainability, business research and emerging technologies.

This internship is ideal for a candidate with a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) background who enjoys solving problems, working with information and exploring how modern tools can improve research and analysis.

You will support ESG consulting assignments involving sustainability research, data analysis, regulatory developments and the development of practical client solutions. The internship offers an opportunity to build foundational expertise in ESG consulting while applying analytical and technology skills to real-world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. ESG Research & Consulting

• Research ESG frameworks, sustainability standards, regulations and emerging industry practices.
• Support ESG assessments, gap analysis, benchmarking and materiality assessments.
• Assist in developing ESG strategies, implementation roadmaps, policies and client recommendations.
• Translate complex ESG requirements into structured insights and practical business solutions.
• Use modern AI tools, where appropriate, to support research, information synthesis, documentation and problem-solving.
• Organise research findings and translate them into clear, actionable insights.

2. ESG Data & Analytics

• Collect, organise, review and analyse ESG and sustainability data.
• Develop Excel-based analytical models, KPI trackers and structured reports.
• Support the preparation of ESG performance summaries and data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in improving the consistency, quality and traceability of ESG information.

3. Climate & Sustainability

• Support greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations across Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 categories.
• Assist with energy consumption, carbon footprint, resource efficiency and decarbonisation analysis.
• Research climate-related risks, sustainability benchmarks and emerging environmental requirements.
• Support the preparation of practical sustainability insights and recommendations.

4. ESG Reporting & Governance

• Support ESG disclosures and reporting aligned with applicable frameworks, including BRSR, GRI and ISSB/IFRS Sustainability Standards.
• Assist in developing ESG data collection templates, governance processes and internal controls.
• Support supplier sustainability assessments, ESG ratings and value-chain analysis.
• Help improve the efficiency, consistency and audit readiness of ESG data and reporting processes.

5. Client Engagement & Deliverables

• Prepare client presentations, research reports, proposals and analytical outputs.
• Conduct industry and peer benchmarking to identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders to deliver assignments on time.
• Contribute ideas for practical and scalable ESG consulting solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA).
• Strong interest in ESG, sustainability, climate change and responsible business practices.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude or equivalent platforms.
• Good analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written communication, research and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new concepts, tools and consulting methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Enjoys exploring new AI tools and applying them to real-world problems.
• Familiarity with prompt writing and AI-assisted research or productivity workflows.
• Understanding of ESG frameworks such as BRSR, GRI, GHG Protocol or ISSB is an advantage.
• Academic projects, internships or personal projects demonstrating research, analytical thinking or practical problem-solving are welcome.
